The Paulus workshop was one of the most important workshops in Markneukirchen during the first decades of the 20th century. He also produces many instruments for export to the United States. Here is a very beautiful flat mandolin from the Edmund Paulus workshop, incorporating certain interesting characteristics taken from other authors or styles. Indeed, we recognize the head shape and the tension bar between the bridge and the tailpiece borrowed from De Meglio, but also the pear-shaped body similar to the Portuguese mandolin. And uncommon during these times, the mandolin has its original colored label.
