Built and decorated with finesse using excellent quality wood, this model was certainly part of the top of the range of the Guarnerius brand then established at 5 Rue Forest in the 18th arrondissement in Paris. In fact, the model number "No. 1" must have referred to the top of the Guarnerius model hierarchy at that time. Thus, this banjo stands today as a witness to the high-end manufacturing of the early 20th century in Paris. What's more, it still has its original case.
